There are 2 roles available. Seeking understudies and/or possible replacements for all other roles. See breakdown.
All SM/ASM positions have been filled.
PREPARATION
Prepare a brief monologue from a contemporary play; heightened language preferred. Bring picture and resume.

BREAKDOWN
DOGG’S HAMLET, CAHOOT’S MACBETH

DOGG- an absurdist, highly physical play that takes place at a speech day for a very British public school.Characters speak ‘DOGG,’ a created language. CAHOOT- Stoppard’s recreation of productions of Shakespeare clandestinely produced in apartments during Czechoslovakia’s period ‘normalization.
Ensemble company; actors play multiple roles in both shows. Characters Ages 30’s to mid-50’s
Seeking:
One actor to play multiple roles in both shows, characters age: 30’s. Must be adept at Shakespeare and physical comedy.
All other ensemble roles seeking understudies/possible replacements only.

HAVEL: THE PASSION OF THOUGHT

Havel’s ‘Vanek Plays’ a character based on the writer and various post-prison encounters with his boss in a brewery, a couple attempting to achieve ‘status’ in the society and a professor needing Vanek’s help on a political matter.
Available role:
Stanekova – 40’s, highly intelligent writer, professor, friend of Vanek. Wrestling with her conscience.
Seeking Understudies for the following:
Vanek, mild-mannered but highly principled. 40’s
The Brewmaster bluff, hearty, but with a strong sense of grievance. 30-50
Michael and Vera, nouveau-riche couple 30-40’s. High energy, nervous around Vanek, attempting to enlist his support.
