CONTRACT
CAT CAT 2; $300/week minimum.
SEEKING
Actors who sing for PIPPIN. Casting is inclusive of people of any ethnicity and gender identification. See breakdown for details.
PREPARATION
Prepare to sing 16 bars from two different songs. We will only request one song, but like to have two from which to choose. Bring sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume.

BREAKDOWN
BERTHE: Age: 55-75 Vocal Range: E3-C5 - Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy woman full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest.
CATHERINE: Age: 19-36 Vocal Range: F#3-Db5 - A widow and mother. She is a beautiful and a hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance. Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him.
CHARLEMAGNE: Age: 35-65 Vocal Range: G2-E4 - Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride.
FASTRADA: Age: 30-55 Vocal Range: A3-F5 - Pippin's conniving stepmother, she is both beautiful and smart. Devious, crafty, cunning, untrustworthy. Dedicated to gaining the throne for her darling son, Lewis.
LEADING PLAYER: Age: 16+ Vocal Range: Db3-Ab4 - The ultimate ring leader. Masterfully charming and manipulative, the Leading Player is a chameleon of sorts. Guides Pippin through his own story and tries to intervene at the end. Excellent mover. Obsessed with putting on a great show for the audience.
PIPPIN: Age: 17-27 Vocal Range: G2-Ab4 - Our story's young and confused protagonist. He is longing to find his purpose in live. Naïve, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo.
LEWIS: Age: 17-27 Charlemagne and Fastrada's son. Strong but not bright. Pippin's halfbrother and after Pippin, heir to the throne. Addicted to the physical, Lewis loves weight lifting, Lewis love wrestling, but most of all, Lewis loves Lewis. Requires good physicality.
