SEEKING
Equity actors for the 2019 Season - Actors who can be company members by tracking through as many shows as possible.
Also seeking an ASM for Million Dollar Quartet (See separate notice on Casting Call for submission info)
PREPARATION
Since the season consists of musicals and comedies, it makes sense to prepare a short song and a short comic monologue. Show us your best work. If you play an instrument that is in our productions, show us if you can. Total audition time not to exceed 2 minutes. Bring picture and resume.

This is an ensemble piece about the Irish people, their history, their culture, and its influence in America and the world at large. We are looking for actor/musicians to sing and play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, piano, stand-up bass, ukulele, and pennywhistle in this show. Irish and American accents required. 3 Men 3 Women ALL ethnicities and age ranges are encouraged to audition.

Bernard's friend and Jacqueline's lover, handsome, reserved, seems like an all-around nice guy but is a scoundrel.
Suzette: Female, 30-50
The cook, friendly, working class, funny, a swan beneath the duckling exterior.
Suzanne: Female, 30-50
Bernard's mistress, a fashion model, chic, stylish, easily flustered.
Georges: Male, 30-50
Suzette's husband, big, strong, protective of Suzette, not one to indulge in fooling around.

This is an ensemble piece about the Johnstown Flood, the devastating catastrophe that took place 18 miles north of where the Mountain Playhouse was later located. During the 130th anniversay year of the calamity, ten storytellers will present the diasaster and its aftermath. 4 Men 3 Women 1 boy 2 girls

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET

This production is a re-mount of last season’s production. As such, the show is cast and we are looking for possible replacements.
ELVIS – 20s; male; actor/singer/guitar player to portray Elvis in his 20s at the beginning of his career. Must be familiar with his music and able to play guitar; should sound and look somewhat like Elvis without being an “impersonator”. PRINCIPAL
JERRY LEE LEWIS – 20s; male; actor/singer/pianist; he was rock & roll’s legendary piano prodigy and celebrated “Last Man Standing.” Sexy, Must be a superb piano player, able to play like Jerry Lee Lewis; fun, energetic; comic skills a plus. PRINCIPAL
CARL PERKINS – mid 20s; male; actor/singer/guitar player (lead guitar); he was the American pioneer of rockabilly music and best known for his song “Blue Suede Shoes”; Must be an excellent lead guitarist. PRINCIPAL
JOHNNY CASH – mid 20s; male; actor/singer/guitar player to portray Johnny cash at the dawn of his epic career. Must be familiar with his music and able to play guitar; tall; should sound and look somewhat like Johnny without being an “impersonator”. PRINCIPAL
SAM PHILLIPS – mid 30s to mid 40s; male; excellent actor; “Father of Rock’n’Roll” and founder of Sun Records who discovered Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and many others including Roy Orbison and B.B. King. A towering and charismatic figure in American music. PRINCIPAL Non -Singing.
DYANNE – mid 20s; female; excellent actor and singer; she was an aspiring singer and Elvis’s girlfriend; attractive; great singer with a wide range; sings solos and back-up throughout the show – sings “Fever” in her alto range and covers the high soprano part of “Riders In The Sky” (Johnny Cash song). PRINCIPAL
