CONTRACT

SPT (Tier 4) $366 week/minimum (contract pending)

SEEKING

Equity actor/singers. The 6 available parts will be considered for 3 principle AEA contracts

PREPARATION

Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together, even if you have sent one in the past. Prepare a song that shows your range (bring sheet music please) and a brief comic monologue. Please email if you know you are coming.

OTHER DATES

Rehearsal schedule: February 26 thru March 20, 2019. Runs: March 21 thru April 14, 2019
Rehearsals: Tuesdays thru Fridays 10am to 4pm, Sundays 4pm to 10pm
Performances: Thursdays @ 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays @ 8pm, Sundays @ 3pm

There are two Thursday Matinees. On March 28 and April 4 @3pm.
There is one Wednesday performance on April 10 @ 7:30pm

OTHER

The auditions will be monitored by the Director, Stephen Casey and Artistic Director, Tom Quinn. There will also be an accompanist (TBD) and a monitor when you sign in.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

BREAKDOWN

The following 6 parts will be considered for 3 principle AEA contracts.

Mona Kent: The ultimate Broadway Diva. A true star of the highest caliber. Comedic actress with strong belt and tap ability.

Joan: A tough talking, wise cracking chorus girl, but Mother-Hen to Ruby. Sassy, flirtatious, with brassy high belt/mix and strong tap skills.

Hennesey/Captain: Dual role of played by one actor. Hennessy is the harried stage director who's show is in danger of closing. The Captain runs the ship where the show will eventually open. Strong comedic character actor with high tenor vocal range and strong tap ability.

Ruby: Innocent, pure, right off the bus from Centerview, UT with dreams of becoming a Broadway Star. Must tap exceptionally well and have strong singing skills. Not your typical ingenue.

Dick: A young sailor who is also a song writer. Falls in love with Ruby, but gets entangled with Mona. Earnest, sincere, good hearted. Strong tenor with exceptional dance/tap ability.

Lucky: Young sailor who is friend to Dick, and in love with Joan, but won't commit to her. Charming, charismatic character actor with strong tap ability and baritone vocal range.
