Seeking Equity Actors/Singers/Dancers to be considered for roles in our upcoming productions of: MATILDA THE MUSICAL, ANNA IN THE TROPICS, HANDS ON A HARDBODY, & BARNUM
PREPARATION
Prepare a short (under two minute) monologue and a musical theatre song selection of approximately 32 bars. If you are auditioning for non-singing roles, please prepare 2 contrasting, short monologues, not to exceed 3 minutes total.

BENNY PERKINS (Male, Mid-40's): with a lanky frame, weatherbeaten face, ingratiating grin with lots of homespun philosophy
GREG WILHOTE (Male, early 20's): a freckled kid in a baseball hat
CHRIS ALVARO (Male, 25-35): well-built under his hoodie; a pair of aviator glasses conceal his eyes
RONALD McCOWAN (Male, 35): a good-natured African-American man with a slight Louisiana accent

PHINEAS TAYLOR BARNUM (Male 30-50): baritone, legendary showman; charming, idealistic dreamer who tends to exaggerate, ability to tap dance, juggle four balls, walk a tightrope, and perform basic acrobatics necessary
CHARITY BARNUM (Female 30-50): mezzo, practical minded, women's suffragist, grounded in realtiy with a strong disposition but with a sweet teasing sense of humor, not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get down to work, ability to juggle four balls is a plus
JENNY LIND (Female, 30's): colortura soprano, known as the Swedish Nightingale, beautiful and flirtatious, underneath her pretty demeanor is a strong willed woman who manipulates the people around her to get what she wants
JOYCE HETH (Female): blues singer, plays 30-160, alto belt, character actress/singer who moves well, ability to play piano a plus but not required
RINGMASTER/BAILEY/JULIUS GOLDSCHMIDT (Male, 20-40): baritone, singer who had various variety act abilities - juggling, unicycle, stilt walking, basic acrobatics
GENERAL TOM THUMB (Male, 20-30): Tenor, acrobatic athletic dance with a small physical frame
MALE/FEMALE ENSEMBLE: Seeking approximately one dozen dancer/singer/instrumentalist/acrobats with circus skills
