SEEKING

We are looking for adventurous performers who possess stamina and comfort when communicating with strangers, who are adept at interacting with technology, and who are excited to incorporate research into their creative process. Adaptability and responsiveness – ie, an ability to take in new information quickly and to think on your feet – are important qualities for this project. Prior experience with immersives is a plus, but not required.

Auditions are open to Equity and non-Equity performers of every race, age, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, ability, and background.

INSTRUCTIONS

To be assigned an audition time slot, please email Amy Ehrenberg at production@webbricolage.org with your headshot, resume, and phone number.

OTHER DATES

Rehearsals for this non-traditional, innovative production will take place in July and August 2019, with performances tentatively slated to begin in early September 2019 and to continue through December 2019. Actors will also be asked to participate in and/or observe training and discussion sessions throughout spring and summer 2019.

OTHER

Auditions will be held in small groups and last between 30-45 minutes. Auditionees should prepare to play improvisational games and cold read from the script. We would also like for auditionees to choose a character from the breakdown they will receive when they request an audition slot, and to craft and deliver a 1-2 minute story about technology in that character’s voice. Please be ready to take risks and have fun. You may also be asked to do a short monologue.

Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination. Equity is committed to diversity and encourages all its employers to engage in a policy of equal employment opportunity designed to promote a positive model of inclusion. As such, Equity encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to submit.
