SEEKING
Actors of color strongly encouraged to audition. Seeking women and men of all ethnicities and ages for roles in our 2019-2020 Season. We are particularly seeking actors of color for roles in every play. Local hires preferred.
PREPARATION
Bring headshot/resume to audition. Please prepare one or two contemporary monologues for a total of no more than three minutes. Monologues featuring well-rehearsed British accents are welcome (but not required).

RICKY: 30. White. Casually professional headcase with a stammer longer than his ties. Assistant principal.
PAM: 50’s. Open Race. Old school educator without a second to spare. End.of.her.rope.
ARNOLD: 50’s. Open Race. Former nice guy turned stone cold teacher. Lost something.
LUCE: Late 20’s. Latino. Ex-frat boy turned math teacher. Everybody’s right-hand-man.
SADIE: 30’s. Black. A little too assertive. Positive foot forward till she trips.
JANIA: 20’s. Latino. The youngest one in the room but has survived the toughest shit. Acts like it.
DONNIE: 18. Black. Spits out words like hand grenades and holds nothing back.
BULL IN A CHINA SHOP

WOOLLEY (MARY): The swagger of a gunslinger buttoned into an anklelength dress.
MARKS (JEANNETTE): A moody and fitful writer; Woolley’s former student and current romantic partner.
DEAN WELSH: A tight-lipped New England type. Woolley’s subordinate, but Marks’ superior.
PEARL: President of a secret society of fangirls of the relationship between Marks and Woolley, Marks’ obsessively devoted student.
FELICITY: Marks’ roommate in a house off campus called Sweet Pea. A professor in the Philosophy department.
