BREAKDOWN

[DOROTHY BROCK]
40-50. A past her prime and well known Broadway Diva. While very selfish and mean at first, she comes to understand what's really important in life. Low Alto. Not a great dancer, but some movement is required.

[PEGGY SAWYER]
18-30. A young, talented, starry-eyed, naive, humble chorus girl, that is forced to take the lead, when Dorothy breaks her ankle. Must be triple threat and tap very well. Alto/mezzo soprano.

[JULIAN MARSH]
40-50. Famous but notorious Broadway Director that comes off extremely gruff as he barks orders to cast and crew. Baritone D to G. Minimal movement skills required.

[BILLY LAWLOR]
20-30. Youthful Leading Tenor in their show Pretty Lady. Triple threat strong tenor that taps extremely well.

[MAGGIE JONES]
40-50. One of the writers of Pretty Lady. Comedic role. Alto/Mezzo soprano. A flat below middle C to C, Some dance required.

[BERT BARRY]
40-50. One of the writers of Pretty Lady. Comedic Role. Tenor. Some dance required.

[PAT DENNING]
40-50. Handsome, Former vaudeville partner of Dorothy's and secret romantic partner. Baritone.

[ANDY LEE]
30's-50. Choreographer/dance director of Pretty Lady. No solo singing, but must be an excellent tap dancer.

[ABNER DILLON]
40-60. Financial backer of Pretty Lady and Dorothy's sugar daddy from Texas. He doesn't realize Dorothy is only with him for his money. Mostly speaking role.
