Todrick Hall Will Star In CHICAGO At Detroit's Fisher Theatre For One Week Only

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome YouTube sensation and Broadway star Todrick Hall in the role of "Billy Flynn" for one week only, October 16-21 at Detroit's Fisher Theatre.

Todrick Hall is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, choreographer, producer, "American Idol" finalist, star of his own MTV show and viral YouTube sensation (2.9M subscribers, 600M views). Hall released his first visual album, Straight Outta Oz, which debuted as the #2 pop album and Forbidden which debuted as the #1 pop album. Broadway: Chicago, The Color Purple, Memphis, Kinky Boots. Hall is a recurring judge and resident choreographer on "RuPaul's Drag Race." choreographed videos for Beyoncé; written and starred in the Virgin America safety video, was featured in Taylor Swift's record breaking music video. Hall can be seen on other television shows such as: Queer Eye, Dear White People, Bring It, Dance Moms, Catfish, Bob's Burgers, Muppet Babies and is the star of the documentary "Behind the Curtain" on Netflix.

Chicago also currently stars Dylis Croman as Roxie Hart, Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Paul Vogt as Amos Hart, Jennifer Fouché as Matron "Mama" Morton and D. Ratell as Mary Sunshine.

With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is now the #1 longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

The national tour is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by David Bushman. Ann Reinking is the original choreographer in the style of Bob Fosse. CHICAGO features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. The production also features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.
