Farmers Alley Theatre Children's Theatre Announces Cast For LILLY'S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE

Farmers Alley Theatre has announced the return of its popular Children's Series Programming with the lovable play, LILLY'S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE! Based on the beloved series of books by author Kevin Hendes, this new adaptation by Kevin Kling is sure to captivate and amuse children of all ages. Performed in our intimate 100-seat space, Farmers Alley Theatre is the perfect venue for kids to up-close to the actors and really get lost in the story. LILLY'S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE runs February 15-24 with many weekend and after-school performance start times.

"I am Lilly! I am Queen! I like everything!" This young mouse is ready for anything! That is, until the day her new baby brother arrives. Things get even worse when Mr. Slinger takes away her musical purple plastic purse for the day. But with a little help from her Grammy and her friends Chester and Wilson, Lilly learns that sharing, cooperation, and some crunchy cheese snacks can go a long way. Best suited for ages 4-10, we invite all ages to come enjoy the splendor of Lilly and her world of colorful imagination.

Sandra Bremer serves as Farmers Alley Theatre's newly named Director of Children's Programming. Ms. Bremer has directed our previous productions of Fancy Nancy, Pinkalicious!, Goodnight Moon and Bunnicula. She directs a fabulously talented cast of six which includes local favorites Ken Holda, Dan Lafferty, Jennifer Theisen and Tony Holewinski alongside Western Michigan University theatre students Molly Hill and Megan Troost.

LILLY'S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE will run in repertory with our production of Doubt, a parable from February 15-24. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for all kids under 18. Tickets can be purchased by calling our Box Office at (269) 343-2727 or visiting www.farmersalleytheatre.com
