In Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson must confront the moors of Devonshire to solve the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville and protect the next heir to the fortune, Sir Henry. The Devonshire legend preaches that the Baskerville family is cursed by a supernatural hound. While working on the case, Holmes and Watson meet suspicious locals ranging from an escaped convict to friendly neighbors, leaving them to wonder if such a beast as the hound is culpable for this murder. Based on the 1902 novella Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery features 40 quirky characters played by just five actors. This thrilling show will keep you on the edge of your seat and laughing in the aisles.
The Playhouse cast includes Michael Fox, Patricia Holly, Jenner Lathrop, Kerrie Lee, and Lorenzo Sandoval. Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery is directed by John W. Viars.
The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
