Northglenn Arts Presents The 2019 A Cappella Concert Series

Northglenn Arts will launch its fifth a cappella concert series on January 18 with the Orlando-based, country-pop group Flight Scene. Performing at Disney Springs, Universal Studios and various cruise lines, the group banded together to go a cappella and perform the music they love simply with voice only. Most recently, Flight Scene released a music video covering Jon Pardi's Dirt on My Boots, which brings their own blend and vocal touch to this number one country single.

Scheduled to perform in the 2019 Series is Northern Colorado's contemporary a cappella group Collide Vocals on February 15; local favorite and multi-year Rocky Mountain Region 8 Quartet Champions Ruby Blue Quartet on March 15; and DU's best all men's a cappella group High St. Serenade on May 17.

Asked what makes an a cappella performance so appealing, Northglenn Arts Director Michael Stricker states that "a cappella is such an intimate experience. Getting to hear the human voice, unfiltered, and unsupported by instrumentation is a magical experience. You're brought in to the experience in an incredibly unique way. "

Single performance tickets are priced at $15 for adults, $12 for youth and seniors for Flight Scene; and $10 for adults, $8 for youth and seniors for Collide Vocals, Ruby Blue Quartet and High St. Serenade. Series tickets are priced at $40 for adults, $32 for youth and seniors. Tickets are available online at NorthglennArts.org.

Concerts will begin at 7:30 pm and are held at the D.L. Parsons Theatre, 11801 Community Center Drive.

The concert series is sponsored by the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation, SCFD, City of Northglenn and Colorado Creative Industries.

The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) is a 501(c)3 organization that provides funding for quality youth theatre, public art, and other cultural endeavors in our community.
