Nikki Lane To Perform A Free Concert At The Wheeler For Aspen Locals Critically-acclaimed country artist Nikki Lane is coming to the historic Wheeler Opera House for ONE-NIGHT ONLY on Saturday, March 9 at 7:30 PM. Tickets for NIKKI LANE are $25 (FREE for Members!) and can be purchased at the Wheeler Opera House Box Office (970.920.5770 / aspenshowtix.com). The Wheeler Opera House is located at 320 E. Hyman Ave., Aspen, CO.

Nikki Lane is a musician lauded for her ability to reinvent 1960s country music for a modern audience. Lane's mix of orchestral arrangements, southern charm and vintage sensibilities earn her comparisons to the likes of Tammy Wynette and Nancy Sinatra, while her instinct for lush pop/rock could win over fans of Lana Del Rey and even Tom Petty. Lane's third and most recent album Highway Queen blends powerful lyrics with blues guitars resulting in a swagger-filled pop-country spectacular.

"This is our second free show we have offered as a 'thank you' to our Wheeler Wins Members! This is our way of giving back to the community for everything they do to support the Wheeler." Executive Director Gena Buhler says, "we could not be more thankful!" Wheeler Wins members are eligible for free entry to this concert - otherwise tickets are just $25.

Nikki Lane has made a name for herself appearing on Conan and performing on CBS This Morning alongside Loretta Lynn. Lane's 2014 album All or Nothin' (Produced by Dan Auerbach) earned glowing reviews from NPR, the Guardian and Rolling Stone. Lane believes that Highway Queen is an important milestone for her as an artist. "I was always a smart girl, always had to yell to be heard," she says, "But this was the first time in my career where I decided how things were going to go; I was willing to take the heat."

Nikki Lane's love for music is palpable. Her awareness of its impact on the world shines through in her art and inspires her to carry on through hardships and put even more of herself into her music. "Am I excited to spend years of my life in a van, away from family and friends? No, but I'm excited to share my songs, so they'll reach people and help them get through whatever they're going through. To me, that's worth it."
