In an artistic response to the current political climate, It Grows Wild presents their inaugural production, The Vagina Monologues, by Eve Ensler. Performances will be Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3 at 7:30 PM at The People's Building, located at 9995 E. Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80010. Tickets are $15 and is a benefit production for the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault. Tickets are available online at http://bit.ly/VMTickets.

About the Show: An Obie Award-winning whirlwind tour of a forbidden zone, The Vagina Monologues introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, and a feminist happy to have found a man who "liked to look at it."

From rape to abuse to sexual exploration, the topics covered in The Vagina Monologues have the power to elicit deep and sometimes confusing emotions. Join us for a special Talk Back facilitated by licensed therapists following Friday's performance of The Vagina Monologues. This will be your opportunity to take a deeper dive into the content of the monologues and process anything that has come up for you with a respectful group. Therapists will also be available for one-on-one conversations during and following each performance.

"The purpose of this production is to give a voice to the hundreds of women in our community who have been triggered, frustrated, infuriated, and affected by the recent current events. We want to represent all women in our community," said Robin Zavala, Director. "We want to talk about sexual assault from our point of view. We want to praise the power of women. Our ability to thrive, give birth, laugh, and love. We want to celebrate our legacy. We want to take back what is rightfully ours: Our Experience. Our Bodies. Our Rights. Our Voice."

"The Vagina Monologues manifests the power of women telling their truths, one story at a time, and the people who believe them," says Dia Kline, cast member.
