DANCE TO THE MOVIES Starring Lesley Ann Warren Steps Into Playhouse 5/18-20 The Playhouse on Rodney Square presents high-octane dance extravaganza DANCE TO THE MOVIES for four performances, May 18-20. The show closes the Broadway in Wilmington 2017-2018 season, presented by Bank of America.

From the producers of Ballroom with a Twist, DANCE TO THE MOVIES celebrates and reinvents some of Hollywood's best musical moments live onstage. Seven of TV and stage's top choreographers bring to life the classic movie dances of yesterday with a fresh new vision.

Starring Dancing with the Stars celebrity pros, and So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol finalists, DANCE TO THE MOVIES recreates some of the most iconic characters and memorable musical moments from movies like West Side Story, Grease, Chicago, Hairspray and Moulin Rouge, as well as stunning, new dances to scores from such movies as The Godfather, Titanic, The Matrix and Les Misérables. It promises to be a perfect evening of cinema magic - LIVE onstage.

The Wilmington engagement features Dancing with the Stars celebrity pros Tristan MacManus, Anna Trebunskaya, along with MAGDA FIALEK, Anya Fuchs, Oksana Platero; So You Think You Can Dance finalists Allen Genkin, Jonathan Platero, and Randi Strong; and American Idol finalists Vonzell Solomon and Von Smith; and from America's Got Talent, Antonio Martinez.

DANCE TO THE MOVIES is proud to present a special appearance by film and television star Lesley Ann Warren. Ms Warren is an Academy Award nominee for her featured role as Norma Cassidy alongside Julie Andrews in Victor/Victoria. She played the iconic role of Cinderella in 1965's premiere TV presentation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical, Cinderella. Other notable film roles include Clara Jobs in 2013's Academy Award nominated film Jobs, and Miss Scarlet in Clue. She was highly acclaimed for both her dramatic and comedic roles in such TV shows as Will and Grace, Community, Psych, In Plain Sight, The Practice, Crossing Jordan, Deep Water, Touched by an Angel and Desperate Housewives to name a few.

Choreography for the show includes numbers by Dancing with the Stars pros Anna Trebunskaya, Lacey Schwimmer, and Chelsie Hightower, along with Jonathan Platero and So You Think You Can Dance finalist Jaymz Tuaileva.
