APA To Present THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA This March

The Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts (APA), a magnet program for the Huntington Beach Union High School District, presents "The Phantom of the Opera" by its Musical Theatre department. The show will run from March 15 to 17 and 22 to 24, with show times at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The six performances will be held in the Historic Huntington Beach Union High School District Auditorium and Bell Tower, with tickets priced at $22 for adults and $16 for students and seniors. "The Phantom of the Opera"--the most popular musical of all time--swings into the APA main stage this spring. APA's Musical Theatre department will undertake Andrew Lloyd Webber's timeless story of seduction and despair. Watch high school-level students offer professional-quality entertainment as they perform classics such as "Think of Me," "Angel of Music," "All I Ask of You," "Masquerade," and the title song: "The Phantom of the Opera."

APA's Costume Design and Technical Theatre departments will also shine as they present breathtaking attire and innovative stage construction sure to make APA's "The Phantom of the Opera" an experience never forgotten!

The Academy for the Performing Arts (APA) is "igniting the creative artists of the future." APA is known for its award winning theatre and musical theatre shows, accomplished dance program, strong orchestra, and the innovative, Music Media and Entertainment Technology (MMET) program. APA provides master-level instruction in classical and popular music, dance, acting, playwriting, costume design and technical theatre to over 700 students per year.
