Timeless Classic Tchaikovsky's NUTCRACKER Comes to Cheney Hall

Audiences are invited to enjoy a classic holiday favorite with family as Fisher Ballet Productions brings the Nutcracker to life on Cheney Hall's Stage on December 14, 15 & 16.

"Little Theatre of Manchester is excited to partner with Fisher Ballet to present this holiday classic," said, LTM Executive Director Dwayne Harris. Fisher Ballet Productions was founded in 2012 by Liane Fisher and has been producing an annual Nutcracker since that time in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Ms. Fisher says, "Fisher Ballet aims to produce not only a high caliber Nutcracker performance with professional dancers, but also to give local dance students an opportunity to experience being part of a large full-length ballet production...Most of our roles are filled by local dance students as well as local adult dancers. Our Nutcracker brings students from many different studios together to collaborate and promote the art of ballet in the general community.

Liane Fisher has been dancing for 40 years and has performed with the Royal Ballet, Boston Ballet, Rhode Island State Ballet, Hartford City Ballet, Brass City Ballet, Dance Prism, Ballet Theatre of Boston, and Northeast Youth Ballet. She has performed in Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Manon, Cinderella, Nutcracker, Snow White, La Bayadere, Don Quixote, and other ballets. She has choreographed ballet productions for many studios and was ballet mistress at Ballet Theater Company, for the ballets Gwendolyn the Pig and Nutcracker. For many years she taught for Boston Ballet in their City Dance Program. She has taught Ballet Technique and Dance History as a professor in the Dance Department of Dean College and as an Artist-in-Residence at Wesleyan University's Green Street Arts Center. Liane has taught at many studios around Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Performances of the Nutcracker are on Friday, Dec. 14 & 15 at 7:00 pm, and Dec. 15 & 16 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are available for $18 - $25 and with a discount for Children 12 and under. Tickets are available for purchase at CheneyHall.org or by calling the Cheney Hall box office at (860) 647-9824.
