Photo Coverage: Preview: Bloody Good Productions Theatre Co. Presents Columbus Premiere of LIZZIE

Columbus is going to get the axe this Valentine's Day weekend as Bloody Good Productions Theatre Company presents its premiere production, LIZZIE by Steven Cheslik-DeMeyer (music and lyrics), Tim Maner (book, lyrics, and additional music), and Alan Stevens Hewitt (music, additional lyrics, and orchestrations). This production marks the Columbus premiere of LIZZIE. JAMS Photography is the presenting sponsor for the show.

LIZZIE is a four-woman hard-rock retelling of the bloody legend of America's favorite axe-wielding double murderess and Victorian hometown girl, Lizzie Borden. Set in August 1892, LIZZIE focuses on the events leading up to the double-murders of Andrew and Abby Borden and its aftermath. Let's just say that all hell breaks loose in the house of Borden. Cast includes Jordan Shafer as Lizzie Borden, Abby Zeszotek as Emma Borden, Dakota Thorn as Bridget Sullivan (Maggie), and Cassie Gress as Alice Russell. Production staff includes Director Allison Walker, Assistant Director Abby Zeszotek, and Music Director Zac DelMonte.

Bloody Good Productions Theatre Co. will be donating ticket proceeds to Gracehaven, a local organization focused on providing care for the victims of sex trafficking and taking steps for prevention. Representatives from Gracehaven will be present at the Friday, February 15th, performance and will host an information session about their organization after the show. LIZZIE will be performed on Friday, February 15th, at 7:30pm and Saturday, February 16th, at 2:00pm and 7:30pm at the Park Street Theatre, located at 512 Park Street in Columbus, Ohio. Advanced tickets are available now. In order to maximize access to this performance, Bloody Good Productions will use a "pay-what-you-will" pricing structure, with a minimum $10 ticket price for advanced tickets. Advanced tickets are purchasable through cast members or the venue ticket office by phone (614-224-6672, additional fees may apply) or in-person (177 E. Naghten St. Columbus, 43215). Tickets will be available for purchase on the day of show at the venue (512 Park Street), starting one hour prior to performance. Tickets purchased at the venue will be "pay-what-you-will" with a suggestion of $10. This performance is a general admission show with no reserved seating; accessibility questions should be directed to the Ticket Office. Tickets are not tax deductible.

PLEASE NOTE: While LIZZIE will be using the home venue for the Columbus Children's Theatre, this show is not affiliated with the Columbus Children's Theatre. LIZZIE contains explicit language, adult themes, and violent situations. It is recommended for mature audiences only.
