IN THE BLOOD Opens At Convergence-Continuum, Today Convergence-continuum presents IN THE BLOOD by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks. . In a modern riff on The Scarlet Letter, Hester La Negrita, a homeless mother of five, lives with her kids on the tough streets of the inner city. Her kids, played by adult actors, double as five other people in her life: ex-boyfriend, social worker, doctor, best friend and minister. While Hester's kids fill her life with joy (comical moments amid the harsh world of poverty) the adults only hold her down. Can anything stop the play's tragic end?

In the Blood is directed by Cory Molner. The cast features actors Jeannine Gaskin as Hester, Daryl Kelley, Anthony X, Shannon Sharkey, Grace Mitri and Patrick Gladish.

In the Blood opens Friday, May 18 and runs Thurs-Sat at 8 pm through June 9 at the Liminis Theater, 2438 Scranton Rd, in Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood. Fri & Sat tickets are $20 general admission, $15 seniors (65+), $10 students. Thurs discount tickets are $15, $12 and $8.
