Three Brothers Theatre Announces Inaugural Musical BLOODY, BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON

Three Brothers Theatre is pleased to present their inaugural musical, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Written by Alex Timbers, Music and Lyrics by Michael Friedman, and directed by Marie Tredway, this production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson opens on May 4, 2018 at Three Brothers Theatre Upstage, located at 221 N. Genesee St in Waukegan, IL.

Forget that political presidential rap musical with the expensive tickets and bring on the raucous rock musical about our 7th president who founded the Democratic party and doubled the size of the country while forcing an entire population onto reservations. In an alternate unapologetically non-PC universe that blurs the line between fact and fiction, this show charts the course of President Jackson's life revealing a teenage, emo America. This production also highlights the horrific treatment of Native Americans and makes a commentary on the similar, cyclical patterns that still happen in our country. How far have we really come? Populism has never looked so vain.

Opening night is Friday May 4 at 7:30 pm and will close Saturday May 26. The show runs every Friday and Saturday from May 4 through May 26. General admission tickets are $20. Three Brothers Theatre also offers student/industry/senior tickets for $15. Presale tickets can be purchased at threebrotherstheatre.com.
