How do you transfigure $10 into the ultimate Harry Potter Broadway experience? Playing On Air today announced the start of a Prizeo raffle for a magical prize: a pair of tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, travel to New York, and a meeting with a surprise member of the Potter cast. The digital fundraiser benefits Playing on Air's mission of bringing the best in American theater to audiences nationwide, for free and on demand. The sweepstakes is part of the acclaimed theater podcast's "Harry Potter Month," which celebrates all that is spooky, magical, and delightfully British, including a classic audio play whodunit starring Jim Dale, narrator of the Potter audiobooks.

For a minimum donation of $10, fans of Harry Potter can enter a raffle to win tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1&2 on Broadway. The prize winner will receive a pair of tickets for both parts of the play, as well as a $400 travel voucher and a chance to meet the cast of the Tony Award-winning production. Contest will end on December 11, 2018. All proceeds benefit Playing On Air. Enter at www.prizeo.com/harrypotter.

HARRY POTTER MONTH AT PLAYING ON AIR:

Playing On Air will celebrate the beloved Harry Potter series with two podcast releases and the beginning of its Prizeo raffle for tickets to see the Tony Award-winning production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway.

On Sunday October 14th, Playing on Air will release THE MANDELA EFFECT by Max Baker (Revolutionary Road, Hail, Caesar!) During lunch with a friend, an actress works herself into a cosmic tizzy about the unsettling Mandela Effect, the collective misremembering of names, news stories, and cultural artifacts. The audio play features Geraldine Hughes (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Jerusalem, Rocky Balboa), Kelly Hutchinson (Catch Me If You Can, Broadway's Macbeth) and Bill Buell (Cyrano, Equus, "Boardwalk Empire"). In the post-show discussion, Baker and his cast delve into the bizarre, fascinating phenomenon that inspired the play.

Then, on Sunday October 28th, just in time for Halloween, Playing on Air will release THE MYSTERY AT TWICKNAM VICARAGE by David Ives, starring Jim Dale. From the beloved narrator of the Harry Potter audiobooks and the playwright of Venus in Fur comes a wickedly clever whodunit. In THE MYSTERY AT TWICKNAM VICARAGE, Scotland Yard's Inspector Dexter (Jim Dale) arrives at a country parsonage to investigate the murder of Jeremy Thumpington-Fffienes (David Furr). As Jeremy's wife, two lovers, and a suspiciously attractive sofa aid in the investigation, the crime crescendos into an uproarious parody of Masterpiece Theater, Sherlock Holmes, and all things British. After the play, Tony-winning director John Rando (Urinetown, On the Town), Ives, and the cast join host Claudia Catania in a behind-the-scenes interview.
