FUN HOME Playing at Varscona Theatre Through 4/20

FUN HOME is currently playing at Varscona Theatre in Edmonton through April 20, 2019.

Based on the best-selling graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes. When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to unlock the mysteries of the man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life as she grows to understand her own sexuality. This ground breaking musical was the winner of five 2015 Tony Awards including Best Musical and has received worldwide critical acclaim for its stunning score and moving storytelling. Revered as the first Broadway musical with a lesbian protagonist, it's a story about identity, purpose, family and love.

Fun Home stars Jocelyn Ahlf, Jeff Haslam, Kate Ryan, Bella King, Karina Cox, Gabriel Gagnon, Jillian Aisenstat, Carter Woodley, Connor Woodley. Directed by Dave Horak, the creative team includes Musical Director Janice Flower; Choreographer Jason Hardwick; Lighting Designer Daniela Masellis; Stage Manager Rachel Rudd, Producers Jeff Haslam & Mat Busby. -30- Fun Home tackles intense adult themes and contains strong language Fun Home is made possible by funding from the Edmonton Arts Council.
