Haan captivates as she brings to life a Germany suffering from the aftermath of the First World War, with its Kaiser in exile, and beginning to experiment with a new form of government: the Weimar Republic is born and with it a nation longing for latitude. It's Germany's Golden Age, the dance on the volcano between the two World Wars, a time of creativity, art, music and culture, of Brecht and Weill's Threepenny Opera, the making of Fritz Lang's Metropolis, the discovery of Marlene Dietrich starring as the naughty Lola in Joseph von Sternberg's Blue Angel. It's also the time of Josephine Baker and her Charleston music; and the great American swing and jazz that transformed Berlin and other large German cities. Haan re-lives this bodacious period combining all these genres taking you on an enchanting musical voyage through history. "An all-round entertainer of the highest calibre," award-winning Adrienne Haan is one of Europe's and America's most electrifying stars. With a diverse repertoire that ranges from chanson to jazz, blues, klezmer and Broadway, Haan has a passion for the music of the 1920s and 30s.

Highlights of Haan's 2018 season include appearances at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg, Senftöpfchen Cologne, Beethovenfest in Bonn, the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen Festival, performances of her Cabaret Français in Warsaw, and Tehorah in ?ód?, Poland, and a return to Asuncion, Paraguay. On the occasion of her Carnegie Hall debut in Tehorah in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Israeli-German diplomatic relations, she was welcomed with a standing ovation. Haan recently appeared at New York's Metropolitan Room in a performance dedicated to the music of Kurt Weill to an admiring full house.

The show was praised as "a moving performance where Haan establishes a close rapport with the audience through her informative, funny, and often moving commentary between sets." Recent engagements include her debuts at the Ravinia Music Festival and New York's iconic Bemelman's Bar at the Hotel Carlyle, and appearances at New York's Neue Galerie's Café Sabarsky, 54 Below, Harvard and National Arts Club, and the Santa Fe Jewish Film Festival. Her latest CD Berlin, Mon Amour, hailed as "engaging and unique," is a tribute to 1920s and early 30s Germany.

Grammy-winner, New York native and multi-instrumentalist Vince Giordano has played in New York nightclubs, appeared in films such as The Cotton Club, The Aviator, Finding Forrester, Revolutionary Road, Cafe Society, HBO's Boardwalk Empire and in concert at Town Hall, Jazz At Lincoln Center, the Newport Jazz Festival and the 92nd St Y for the past four decades. Giordano's passion, commitment to authenticity, and knowledge led him to create a sensational band of like-minded players, the Nighthawks. For over 40 years, Vince Giordano has single handedly kept alive a wonderful genre of American music that continues to spread the joy and pathos of an era that shaped our nation.

Music Director and pianist Richard Danley, Haan's longtime music director, is known for his "veracious musical instincts and raw talent"whose skill extends beyond the keyboard and podium.
