Andrea Marcovicci Brings Farewell New York Solo Concert CROSSING TIME to 54 Below ANDREA MARCOVCCI - the singer and actress hailed as "torch singer, spellbinder, heart-breaker" by People - will celebrate her 70th Birthday at Feinstein's/ 54 Below on Saturday, November 17 at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM. As a triumphant coda to thirty record-breaking years of New York appearances, this will be her farewell New York solo concert. After creating over forty cabaret shows exploring the glories and personalities of the Great American Songbook, Andrea will present the New York debut of Crossing Time for two shows only.

When it landed last season in Chicago, Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune said that Andrea's "sheer joy in singing was palpable," and he called her rendition of the show's brand new title song, penned by Shelly Markham and Lesley Alexander, "moving." Those attending the show will receive a special limited edition CD single of the song "Crossing Time" (one per couple). For tickets, visit www.54Below.com.

Crossing Time takes the audience on a journey through life's many milestones. When life sends you down unexpected pathways, no matter what you may desire - it's best to embrace the adventure. From the sadness of loss, to the joy of wedding bells and beyond, these life- altering moments motivate us to stop taking the ride for granted and, instead, cherish each twist and turn. Fanciful, comical, whimsical and bittersweet, this material, even when new to the ears, feels like coming home. A tradition for Marcovicci to celebrate new songwriters alongside the Great American songbook, the quintessential cabaret artist has added a surprise from Pasek & Paul, and a brand new title song. The classic songs, many from the musical theatre, reflect the emotional arc of life, from the tender longing of Bob Merrill's "Mira" and Jerry Herman's "Ribbons Down My Back," to the humorous wisdom of Francesca Blumenthal's "Between Men" and Lerner & Loewe's "I'm Glad I'm Not Young Anymore."

Andrea holds the record of an unprecedented 25 seasons at the legendary Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel, and was the final performer ever to grace that stage. In recent years, she has appeared at The Café Carlyle and Joe's Pub at The Public Theater. In a career spanning over five decades, Andrea has created over forty nightclub acts, has sold out Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center, and appeared in concert with numerous orchestras and at the White House. She has acted in films, television and theatre, both regionally and on and off-Broadway. Her co-stars have included Danny DeVito, Woody Allen, Sir Michael Caine, and Sir John Gielgud, among others. Andreasong Recordings, Inc. - her record label - offers CDs through CDBaby.com. Visit www.marcovicci.com.
