Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) will have a new home for its 2018-19 Theatre Season at 456 Main St., Buffalo, New York. For the past three years, RLTP has been staging their award-winning productions at 500 Pearl St. with an eye to moving into a more permanent space. Working with Ellicott Development Company, RLTP plans to completely renovate the former Baker Shoes building, putting in an intimate stage, lobby and bar to provide a new and exciting option for visitors to Buffalo's vibrant and growing Theater District. The new theater venue, located near Lafayette Square, will offer plenty of amenities that patrons value, including a single-floor access, convenient parking, air conditioning and nearby eclectic dining options.

Since its opening in 2003, Road Less Traveled has showcased more than 65 productions with nearly half of those being world-premiere plays. Under the guidance of Artistic Director Scott Behrend, the new theater space will help the company grow and further its mission.

As he puts it, "The entire RLTP family is very excited to be back on Main Street in a brand-new long-term home. We look forward to launching our 15th Anniversary season in a new facility that will enable and enhance the RLTP experience. Please join us on the road less traveled as we continue to bring imaginative and thought-provoking live theatre to Western New York."

The new theater is scheduled to open with the launch of next season's opening play Hand to God by Robert Askins on September 7, 2018. It will herald a new chapter, not just for Road Less Traveled Productions, but also for Buffalo's Theatre Community as a whole, as theatre continues to be part of the foundation of Downtown Buffalo's continued Renaissance.
