ANNOUNCEMENTS, a new play written and directed by Thomas Fricilone, to premiere at Brooklyn Comedy Collective on Friday, September 14th at 9:30 pm. The comedy features a wonderfully talented cast including Adam Bangser, Will Banks, Charlie Bardey, Caitlin Dullea, Jacob Dysart, Ian Lockwood, Abby Salzberg, Maya Sharma, David Steele, Sophie Zucker and more.

It's a normal day at Barkdogwood High School until, during the morning announcements, Maggie (David Steele) asks his all-time crush Lenny (Caitlin Dullea) to Homer-Coming, the Simpsons-themed homecoming dance. Unfortunately, Maggie won't hear his answer until 9th period Christian Science class, and he fears he made a big mistake asking Lenny. The two weigh their decisions with the help of rowdy classmates, overwhelmed substitute teachers, a tipsy guidance counselor, and the school's drama team.

Thomas Fricilone is a writer, comedian, and co-head of Ground Floor Comedy. He has co-written plays for the Annoyance Theatre NY including Love Ain't Never Gonna, Mandatory Seminar, and The Siblings. His recurring historical improv show The Retellings has run at The PIT, Annoyance Theatre, and Brooklyn Comedy Collective. Recently he wrote and performed with his writing partner Kelly Cooper in the 1950s style revue It's a Wonderful Everything! At Brooklyn Comedy Collective. ANNOUNCEMENTS is the first play he will write and direct himself.
