THE MOSQUITO Comes to Provincetown

The Provincetown Theater is proud to announce a new theatrical partner in its 2019 Season - the Outer Cape storytelling slam, The Mosquito. Starting Saturday, February 2nd at 7:00pm, The Mosquito at the Provincetown Theater will perform every first Saturday night of the month thru April 6th. "We're thrilled to pop up at the Provincetown Theater for an extended season," says The Mosquito's creator Vanessa Vartabedian. "Having performed in many plays at Provincetown Theater since 1996, I can't imagine a better place to add to this history than by bringing new storytellers to the stage and new stories to Provincetown."

What are "story slams"? - Storytellers from the audience prepare a 5-minute

true story based on the night's theme. 10 storytellers are picked at random

from the "mosquito net" to take a chance and "Bite It Live" on stage.

Mosquito stories are told, not read, so notes or props are allowed. Sign-up early at the door. Special guests storytellers, musicians, and surprise hosts are likely - as is adult language. Open throughout the evening is a cash bar in the lobby.

SIGN-UP: 6:30pm. Stories start at 7pm
