Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston kicks off the company's spectacular 50th Anniversary Summer Season with A Chorus Line from June 7-17. The multiple Tony Award-winning musical will run for 8 performances at the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington St., Waltham, MA. A Chorus Line is the ultimate Broadway story, following the hopes and dreams of young performers as they bare their souls auditioning for a Broadway musical. A Chorus Line will feature a roster of regional talent featuring newsman and IRNE award winning actor of stage and screen, Scott Wahle as "Zach", and IRNE award and Tommy Tune Award winner Kirsten McKinney as "Cassie". The production is backed by a full, live orchestra and includes the original Broadway costumes! Produced by Robert J. Eagle; Directed and Choreographed by Leslie Woodies (A Chorus Line, On Your Toes); Music Direction by Dan Rodriguez (In the Heights, Show Boat).

Reagle's landmark 50th Anniversary Summer Season continues with Anything Goes (July 5-15), helmed by IRNE Award Winning Director and Choreographer Eileen Grace, and The Music Man (August 2-12), Directed and Choreographed by IRNE Award winner Susan Chebookjian.

About A Chorus Line and Members of the Cast:

A Chorus Line is a stunning celebration of the unsung heroes of the American Musical Theater - the dancers and singers of the Broadway chorus. A Chorus Line takes the audience through the final grueling audition for a new Broadway musical while exploring the inner lives and poignant ambitions of the Broadway hopefuls competing for a spot on the stage. The show features one powerhouse number after another including "What I Did for Love," "One," "I Can Do That," "At the Ballet," "The Music and the Mirror," and "I Hope I Get It." A fusion of song, dance, and drama, A Chorus Line was instantly recognized as a classic winning nine Tony Awards in addition to the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The original Broadway production ran for 6,137 performances.

Reagle Music Theatre's 50th Anniversary production of A Chorus Line features a full cast of 27 performers from Boston, New York and across the country, starring Boston's own Scott Wahle as Zach and Kirsten McKinney as Cassie Ferguson:

Scott Wahle (Zach) is in the midst of a busy summer. Following A Chorus Line, he is back on stage next month in Plymouth, finally getting his chance to play Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha (Americana Theatre Company), after playing Quixote's sidekick Sancho Panza in the ND/SMC Theatre production of the musical as a senior. Also with Reagle: The Music Man (IRNE award for Best Actor - Harold Hill), Fiddler on the Roof (Tevye), 1776 (John Adams - IRNE nomination, Best Actor), The Will Rogers Follies (Will Rogers), Annie (F.D.R.), Into the Woods (Narrator/Mysterious Man), Guys and Dolls (Nathan Detroit). Film/TV: Knight and Day, The Makeover,Ted 2, Black Mass, Bleed For This, Cadaver, American Odyssey (NBC), The Rosie O'Donnell Show. Scott has performed twice with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops and he's proudly sung the National Anthem at Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots games. Scott's broadcast television career included 20 years at WBZ-TV, where he covered Boston's great sports teams and anchored the morning news for a decade. His company, Wahle Communications, focuses on memorable story telling for companies, charities and individuals.

KIRSTEN MCKINNEY (Cassie) is thrilled to be playing her favorite role of Cassie in A Chorus Line. A former soloist for the Sokolow Now! Dance Company under the direction of Lorry May. Ms. McKinney has spent over 25 years working in the Boston area. Companies and schools include: Speakeasy Stage Company, Public Theater, Shakespeare Now!, Sugan Theater Company, The Boston Conservatory, Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Emerson College, Newton North High School, Newton South High School, Canton School District, and as a guest at Harvard University. Ms. McKinney's choreography has been seen on the stages of Lincoln Center, Carnegie Music Hall, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Hobby Center in Houston Texas. Ms. McKinney has received an IRNE Award, a Tommy Tune Award and a Tony Nomination for Excellence in Theater Education. Currently, Ms. McKinney works for the The Kinkaid School in Houston Texas as a member of the Fine Arts Faculty.

Artistic Bios:

Leslie Woodies (DIRECTOR AND CHOREOGRAPHER): A former soloist with Boston Ballet under the direction of Founder, E. Virginia Williams, Ms. Woodies toured the US and Europe with Dennis Wayne's DANCERS, and was a Guest Artist with New York Dance Theater at Lincoln Center. Her musical theater credits include: "Cassie" in A Chorus Line directed by Michael Bennett; principle cover in On Your Toes directed by George Abbott; "Flo" in The Mystery of Edwin Drood with author/composer Rupert Holmes; and created the role of "Kathleen" in Drumwright with John Cullum. As a choreographer and director: California Music Theater, Lifetime, Disney, Paramount, Brown University. Ms. Woodies has received DramaLogue and Robby Awards, and an IRNE Nomination.

Dan Rodriguez (Music Director) Recent favorite credits at Reagle include Crazy for You, Guys and Dolls (IRNE Award, Best Music Director), and Singin' in the Rain. Dan's other area credits include work with the Huntington Theatre Company (Sunday in the Park with George, A Little Night Music), American Repertory Theatre (The Lily's Revenge, Pippin), Moonbox Productions (Cabaret, Barnum, The Wild Party, Musical of Musicals), Wheelock Family Theatre (In The Heights), Lyric Stage Company of Boston (Gypsy) and many other area theaters, as well as work at the Boston Conservatory, Emerson College and other schools. His work has earned him four IRNE Awards for Best Music Direction, and has been praised by such luminaries as Adam Guettel and Stephen Schwartz.
