Verismo Presents Free Concert This Thursday Join us for a special free concert featuring selections from the verismo operatic tradition. From the Italian for "realism," the verismo movement sought to portray the contemporary man and woman and their problems.

The concert will feature selections by Puccini, Mascagni, Cilea, Giordano, Charpentier and Massenet. Featuring Resident Company singers Emily Hansen, Rebecca Pearce, Megan Croft, Caitlin Carlberg, Sara Stejskal, Michele & Jason Detwiler and Andrew Peck, as well as our Young Artists Anna Polum, Tahanee Aluwihare, Ting Li and Micah Schroeder. They will be accompanied by staff pianist Betsi Hodges.
