This morning I completed my request to see Madonna on any of her dates at BAM in September. Won't know until May 19th if I got a ticket, what date and which seat. But assuming I get a ticket, I'll be staying in Brooklyn for first time. I'll fly in at least the day before. I will probably use SuperShuttle as I'll probably have a carry-on. So I'm thinking either LGA or JFK? Looks like JFK is closer to Brooklyn, correct?

Brooklyn is very large. You’ll be fine with either, especially since you’re flying in at least a day before. Go for the cheaper flight!

I plan to stay in Midtown if I get tickets to see Madonna so I can see some Broadway. Is it easy to get to Brooklyn from midtown? I dont want to stay in Brooklyn.

BAM is very easy to get to in terms of Brooklyn locations. Pretty much all of the train lines that run between Manhattan and Brooklyn stop near there, as well as the LIRR, so transit options are plentiful.

BAM is really easy to get to from midtown. I HATE that this is how tickets are being sold for her show but I’m praying I get one. God, I hope I get it.

BAM is extremely easy to get to, all of you can rest easy about that.

The hard part will be actually getting tickets to this show. They just added a few more dates, I just resubmitted my “request.” This is sure to be a historical and legendary run.

Yep. I submitted the first time this morning soon after tickets went on sale. But only one price range for one date. Then I found out you could request multiple dates and you wouldn’t be stuck with paying for multiple dates because they’ll pick one date if you are selected. Then I discovered that you could also select multiple price ranges for each day so I submitted the third time. Then this afternoon I read that all the tickets at BAM and LA sold out in the first hour and since each subsequent request canceled my previous request and my third request was almost 2 hours after tickets went on sale, I requested again this afternoon for all the old dates plus all the new dates in New York and also increased my price range. So we’ll see. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I am totally confused.  I thought you could only request for one show unless you were a Madonna legacy club member. Has that changed? I have just applied for one date, but I'd love to increase my chances if that was an option.  I am a CITI card holder, so I guess that increases my chances.

You can submit for as many shows as you want at the same venue. ICON Club members can submit for multiple cities, though.

ICON members can submit for two cities. All others can only submit for only one city, but within each city you request for as many dates and price points as you want. You will only get tickets for one night in that city and only the number of tickets you requested.

I’d be cautious about requesting again at this point. I imagine they have more requests than they have available tickets for all 12 nights. And when you request again it cancels your previous request and would put you at the back of the line.

Thanks, Jordan and Miles.  Have they confirmed how they were going to select who got the tickets? I thought it was going to be like a lottery (with club members and CITI card holders first) and that it didn't matter when you registered as long as you did it before May 10.

If it's not a lottery, then it seems unfair because they only announced a few shows at first and then announced several more after.  So if you had put your initial request for the first shows, perhaps you also wanted more chances with the new dates added...and if re-submitting a new form with the additional dates puts you in the back of the queue, then that's not fair.

Far as I know, it goes on this order:

Icon Lifetime Legacy Members get first dibs
Citi Card Members get second dibs
Public gets what left

I do think it matters when you requested. Not sure how that interacts with the above. Does a Legacy member who requests on Friday trump a member of the public who requested on Monday 15 minutes after tickets went on sale?

There is no lottery that I know of except for ten $10 tickets for each performance. I don’t know if those will be selected on the day of the performance or if it will be a separate lottery for those or just selected from the people that did not get tickets from this week.

Thanks for that, Miles.  Yeah, I didn't mean lottery as in cheap tickets like on Broadway, but that all requests would just be processed randomly no matter when you registered.  Maybe I am going crazy but I seem to recall reading on one of the info pages about the tour that you didn't have to rush to register as long as you did it by May 10...which implied to me that when you submitted the form didn't affect the order of how it was processed.  But that could just be my interpretation and maybe there was nothing like that mentioned.

I'm just kicking myself for only submitting for one date and not fully understanding that I could submit for more dates.  By chance, I was going to be in New York that week (to see Jake Gyllenhaal before his show closes), so I could have submitted extra dates for Madonna.  I'm hoping my CITI card will at least give me a bit of an advantage.  :)

I remember the language that you’re talking about but it seems to of been removed after demand was so astronomical.

According to the website now:

“Ticket requests will be confirmed in the following order, subject to ticket availability: ICON Fan Club Members as of October 30, 2011; Citi Cardmembers; Public Requests. All Citi Cardmember and Public Requests are reviewed by Verified Fan®. Each request will be fulfilled based on the best available option, pending availability.”

I don’t know if I need to do anything to be a verified fan. I know I think I had to do some thing for Hamilton Doesn’t indicate that I need to do anything so I hope I don’t

So the way I understand this now is that Legacy members will get first dibs in the order they requested. Then Citi card members in the order they requested. Then the public gets what is left in the order they requested.

I last requested on Monday afternoon. I’m a Classic Icon member so I’m lumped in with the public so I have to hope that all the Legscy and Citi folks plus Monday morning public folks don’t get all the tickets before they get to me!

My sister is also a member of CITI. Maybe I should just get her to submit for extra dates just in case. I might end up with two shows, though. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere in their info that you could send your mobile ticket to another person and so she can send it to me. Or perhaps I could sell them. So confused. Don’t want to miss out.

I think you should have your sister request too. As you said if you both win, you have options. I shouldn’t be telling you this. It’s lessening my odds of winning tickets. Lol

Thank you, thank you! :)

If only I didn't buy a ticket to see Beetlejuice that one night, I could have had an extra night to choose from.  :)

I picked all 12 nights at 9 different price points and only need 1 ticket. Hopefully that all works in my favor.

I've been an Icon member since 2013 (and paid for Live Pass Access) so I missed the cut off for Legacy members who are pretty much guaranteed tickets. It sucks that I am now behind people with a Citibank card and lumped in with the unwashed masses. I am not hopeful I will get anything.
