Ive tried the digital lottery for three years and I have still never seen Hamilton on broadway. Is there any other place to get cheap tickets? Does Hamilton ever sell cheap last minute tickets at the box office?
Id suggest stalking Stubhub and Ticketmaster within an hour of start time. Thats when sellers get desperate and start marking down tickets at a personal loss to them.
Define: cheap. Lottery cheap? Not likely to happen.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I dont know if its feasible for you (or if its like this at all tour stops) but I was able to get fourth row orchestra tickets while it was in Buffalo for $50 a pieces. It seemed like tickets dropped dramatically the day of the show every day.
"cheap" is relative for this show. If you're in the area, I would check the box office for cancelations (not the line), but they can tell you if they have any tickets for upcoming days, week, month, etc. I was able to randomly get 2nd row orch for face value by going the Friday before a Tuesday show. Aim for weekdays vs. weekends. Stubhub or tickpick for last minute ticket drops day of. I was able to grab some seats last min 45mins or so before a show, and then upgrade to better seats after intermission (I asked usher before moving).
Cancellation line tix can be had for a few hours of waiting or less, $240 and very good seats.
Standing room tix are $40 from the same line. THey are not always offered, so you may be waiting for nothing. Also, you have to stand for a three hour show.
Sometimes tix will be discounted on stubhub right before the show, as scalpers try and get something from them. What seats? How much of a discount, if any? Who knows.
