Wicked script change (spoilers)

I have seen Wicked only twice - last night at Southampton's Mayflower and about 10 years ago in the West End.

My memory is far from perfect, but I remember the first time I saw it that Elfeba made quite a big deal about wanting to fly, and we were told that the levitation spell is really difficult. That was a key ingredient in my mind as to why she wanted to meet the Wizard, to unlock her currently limited powers, and learn to fly.

When I saw it last night, pretty much the first time flying or levitation was even mentioned was after she'd already met the Wizard.

Has there been a script change somewhere along the line that lost that bit of exposition, or am I just remembering the show completely wrong?

Thanks for any help piecing my memory back together!

No its just your memory, She says nothing about actually wanting to fly ever, she wants to meet the wizard because by association, she will be accepted into society
