Wonder how this bodes for whether she's extending her contract. I'd imagine she wouldn't take a week off from performances just three weeks prior to the presumed end of her involvement in the show (they hit the year mark the first week of October). But also, who knows.
She’s just astounding. It will be 11 months of peorfmances by that point and she will have missed zero peorfmances (assuming she doesn’t miss any in the coming weeks).

Or, she is leaving and needs to use her paid vacation time (“use ‘em or lose ‘em&rdquo.
The idealist in me thinks she wouldn't be dying to burn up her vacation time since she's gone this long without using it, but also certainly wouldn't blame her for that. Time will tell, I suppose. In fact, I suspect we'll be getting announcements of cast departures within the month (whether or not Lenk leaves, others certainly plan to).

I can't say for 100% certainty about the Production Contract, but since the smaller contracts that include vacation time accruals pay it out at the end of the contract I can't imagine that not being the case with the Production Contract.

^Not a clue! Though Ari'el Stachel did do a somewhat recent interview that said he was leaving in October so if that is still true then looks like he's not extending. And I know Sasson Gabay (who only joined a bit ago) signed a yearlong contract. No idea about anyone else. Any others on here know?

I don't have any special knowledge, but there's an interview from July where Sharone Sayegh, who plays Anna, says she is covering the role. It's at 10:24 here:

Madison Miccuci also covers the role. Here's a video of her giving a beautiful performance of "Omar Sharif"
You’ll likely be seeing Madison as she’s the main standby. Sharons is the understudy and thus likely won’t go on as Dina ever unless both Lenk and Micucci are unable.

Vacation dates for the most recent winner of the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical, starring in the near sold-out Best Musical winner? Hmm, I’d say yes.
(I can't say I'm not a bit bummed to miss Katrina, especially since she has done every single show, but it must be very exciting for both of them to go on and that makes me excited as well)
I've had tickets to the 2:00PM Wed, 9/5 show for a while - the only time I can see it while I'm visiting from out of town. As the months went on & I realized Katrina Lenk is a superhuman who hadn't taken a vacation or been out sick yet, I got this sinking feeling that it would happen the week I had tickets. Everyone needs a vacation at some point! I saw this post a few weeks ago, so I have had time to get over being admittedly bummed (I feel you reginula). I'm sure it will be amazing no matter what and I'm glad these 2 ladies get their turn. I'll let you all know who I see at the matinee tomorrow!
I called Telecharge and they contacted the box office, who said that Madison is the replacement for all performances this week. Sounds as if TFMH18 was right and Sharone will appear only if Madison is unable.
I saw Madison cover for Kristen Sieh as Iris and thought she was very good, so I'm interested to see her take on Dina. I'll be seeing it on Saturday.
