This album is EXACTLY what a woman of her age should be doing! It isn't bad enough that we have "Mamma Mia" and "Mamma Mia 2", but this album will definitely open the doors to people who aren't familiar with Abba, but also give them new followers as well. Cannot wait for her to announce another US tour and watch her perform these songs live!...LONG LIVE CHER!...I think they have the ending for "The Cher Show" they've been looking for!...
I'll buy it, but I was hoping she would do anything but this. John Adams, if you like Abba, I'm sure you know of the Erasure covers from some years back. Also if you weren't into clubs, you may not of heard the dance covers from Abbacadabra (I think that is how you spell it). They are on Almighty records out of the UK. Almighty did mostly dance covers and the Abba remixes are fabulous.
I was hoping for a track list a little more interesting than just Gold covers, but I'll take it. I just hope she delivers on the Volume 2 she teased. They have so many incredible songs beyond the Gold hits that keep getting covered. The Name of the Game, Chiquitita and One of Us are the ones on this album that truly interest me the most. I really want to hear her cover Eagle, The Visitors, If It Wasn't for the Nights, Summer Night City, I Let the Music Speak, The Way Old Friends Do (how does this gorgeous anthem not make it into either Mamma Mia movie or stage production?!?!?!) and I've Been Waiting for You.

My personal favorite Abba cover up to now has been Sinéad O'Connor's Chiquitita.
I agree I would've liked some more obscure songs, even as bonus tracks on a "deluxe edition". There would have been so many excellent ones to choose from, Mister Matt's suggestions are great.
Does her Gimme Gimme Gimme sample the original track (like Madonna), or is it an all-new production? It bodes well for the rest of the album, I guess, though I'm kinda over the robo-tune by now.
Beyoncé is not an ally. Actions speak louder than words, Mrs. Carter. #Dubai #$$$

"Tacky", "Camp-y", "Commercial", "Predictable"... All of the above.
I hate to say it (especially since I started a thread about it), but as the buzz of the movie's release fades, and after giving the teaser track several listens, my interest in the album is beginning to wane a bit. Right now, I'm still on the train, but "What at night seems oh so scenic, May be cynic by and by..."
