I was reading Wikipedia and at the end of this article, I noticed this note:
Oh! Calcutta! which opened in the West End on 30 September 1970 and closed in either January or February 1980, would have approximately 3,800 performances, but no closing date is known, so proper ranking cannot be made.
I find it odd that a long-running show that closed less than 40 years ago would have an unknown closing date. Does anybody know the story as to why it wouldn't be documented?

It closed at the Duchess on 11/17/79.
I saw it there in April 1976.
