West End discount theater tickets

Hello folks,

I am planning a trip to London after nearly a decade.  While I consider myself savvy when it comes to purchasing discount tickets for Broadway shows, I don't even know where to begin when it comes to London.  What are some websites to check out if I want to purchase discount tickets in advance?  Since I am traveling from California, I am not interested in lottery, rush or same day discounts.  I'd like to have everything planned out.  Also I noticed quite a few west end shows have opening and closing dates listed already (Bat Out of Hell from April to July) are these set in stone or does it depend whether or not the show sells well and then they extend?  I am going in September!  Thanks for any advice and help.

I use an iPhone App called TodayTix which is really good although it doesn't allow you to pick the seats but most theatres have Day Seats for about £20.00 if you queue just before the 10am opening. The TKTS booth in Leicester Square can have some bargains and you can view this online now to get an idea of what's on but has to be a physical purchase only at the booth, quick comment to only use that seller in Leicester Square as several agencies have sprung up in surrounding area to confuse people.
