I loved my seats in the mid-center-mezzanine. Very comfortable and not cramped for my or my friends, who usually have a hard time seeing shows because seats can be so poorly set up.

I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.

I saw Straight White Men from the mezzanine and the seat was great. I saw this from the side orchestra and it was cramped (and I even had an empty seat to my right). I'm not particularly tall (5'6"), but the leg room was lacking.

I saw this Wednesday afternoon, as part of a 5 play stopover between Cape Cod (not a single musical...no interest in HOH, Pretty Woman, King Kong).  I thought that it was very entertaining, but I enjoyed it more post-intermission than pre.  I just thought the first half went on too long.

I saw the show when it originally opened, and loved Harvey Fierstein lo those many years ago.  I thought that Michael Urie almost made me forget Harvey in the role, he was so good.  I thought that the person who played Ed (playbill is packed away) was also very good, although I thought he was almost too handsome for the role...I just don't picture Ed as movie star handsome.  I also felt that the actor who played the foster son seemed tooled for the role.  Mercedes Ruehl and Urie were excellent playing off each other in the second part, which contributed to its truth.

All in all, a very good afternoon in the theatre, despite some quibbles.

Has anyone planning on rush tomorrow?

I want to see Anastasia and this tomorrow and as both Theater in front of each other, would like to know if anyone can buy a ticket for me while I’m on the rush line for Anastasia.

If not, do u guys think I could make the rushs for the same day?

I saw this on Thursday night.  Packed house, Harvey was there, around Orchestra Left, Row J.  I also saw some other minor celebrity types in the audience (Carson Kressley).  Seats are pretty cramped - I'm a small person and thought it felt tight in the Orchestra - I can't imagine what it's like for anyone with long legs.

Show was entertaining - great performances, but felt a little long to me - I think it could've been 30 minutes shorter.  There's definitely a target audience (older, Jewish, gay) and if you're not in that sweet spot or somewhere in that Venn diagram, I think a handful or more of the jokes/references may just go by you.  This might also be one of the few shows I've ever been to where the line for the men's room during intermission is easily 2 to 3 times longer than the ladies.

I saw this last weekend and just realized I never shared my thoughts. I really loved this. This was my first introduction to the play, and I was swept away in the world of the play and the characters. Top notch acting, direction, and design. The three hour run time flies by. This is definitely one of the only 2 highlights of the season so far for me (the other highlight being The Boys in the Band).

I saw the show from front row so no complaints on leg room at all. I'll admit I felt a bit too close at times but by no means is that a complaint! I loved it!!! I'd see it from front row again especially after hearing all the reports on legroom in the other seats.

I felt there were 2 stages. The main stage isn't that high but then the apt floor itself is another 'stage' or mini level that is in the same level as the top of my head.

Definitely one of the best theatrical experiences I've had this year (other one is In & of Itself.) I was a teenager in the 90s and that phone scene definitely brought back memories (I have 2 other siblings 1-2 years apart so we had to fight for that one phone in the house!) lmao.

I saw it today and really enjoyed it. I missed it off-Broadway last year, so I have no idea how much was changed. But, very strong performances all around. I do think it could be tighter or a little cut because it did feel long. Didn't get out on street until 4:55ish.

And I was kind of surprised by the empty seats in the mezzanine. The middle section was full, but the sides had a lot of empty seats.

Oh, and they were giving out free pins on the way out.

Also saw today and it was perfection!

I laughed and cried more than once, it’s a perfect written play displaying an entire community.

The cast is superb, but Ruehl and Urie are just outta this world.

One of the best theatrical nights (matinee tho) that I’ve had!

I saw this when it was Off-Broadway last year.  For anyone else who has seen both, are there any profound differences between that production and this one?  I am thinking about going again, and may purposely grab a ticket when Claybourne Elder is in.

I've been lucky enough to see both (ironically both times on October 20th), but the productions are practically identical. The only difference I could think of was, if I remember correctly, the Off-Broadway version had these platforms for International Stud, that were few feet tall, that moved set pieces upstage and downstage. For the Broadway version, the stage is all one level and those set pieces are moved upstage and downstage by automated boards that are flush with the stage, if that make sense.

Kudos for you for remembering. I also saw last year (but had never herad of the play nor seen any scenes before) and the only thing I remember was how emotional I got in the 3rd act (2nd act in this version).

I also hope to see this play again when Claybourne Elder and/or Will Blum perform.

I rushed this last Friday.  Got to the box office at 11 am and got row B center orch on the aisle, which was great.  I looked up the Friday show on Telecharge the day before and it was under 25% sold, which is just depressing, given how good the show is; I really hope it catches on.  It was nearly 100% full come show time, so I am guessing they comped a lot of the seats.  I feel like they have no marketing budget, as I haven't noticed any ads anywhere for it...?

(also, good god, who did the renovation of that theatre?!  It's extremely questionable in taste now, let alone even a few years from now...)

I'm going to guess not while they are in previews at least. Isn't that usually the case for shows opening during that time anyway?

I got an alert from TodayTix that they are offering $25 tickets from now through November it looked like. Interestingly, those were listed as being assigned by the box office, meaning nothing is set in stone. They still had the purchase options for sections, but those were either premium or the current discount available. Would be interested to know what people get for $25.

I bought a $25 ticket today and I'm also curious where I'll be put. If anyone else did this, I'd love to hear where your seats are.

I was looking at it today. It's a little cheaper than a rush ticket, just without all the inconveniences of rushing a show. It's a pretty good deal.
