I’m surprised they’re able to do 8 shows a week, isn’t it almost 4 hours long?
They have a pretty crazy schedule in the beginning of the run. There are some 12-show weeks, but then it seems to get more normal from December onward.
Heard rave reviews about this too, so will catch it in New York at the Bernard Jacobs Theater. Are the $129 seats in the Orchestra good? Specifically in Orchestra Row H, 10-12? Thanks for any help!

I would imagine they're trying to run on the awards love they got over in London, but that doesn't really mean anything for commercial American audiences. These prices are really insane. I'm super eager to see this, but I'll wait for it to pop up on TDF (and for a play starting previews in October, I can't imagine it'll take too long).
I’m glad to hear that others are waiting too. This is the production I’m most looking forward to from next season, by far. I can’t afford ANY of these prices, however. I can justify splurging on something like Bette in Dolly but the greediness from producers in New York is just getting outrageous. It makes me really sad. Theatre shouldn’t cost this much.
I will have to wait patiently for TDF for this one.
They have finally modified the pricing a bit. There are mezzanine H,J,K available for $89/99, E-G $119/129 and side orchestra $139/149.
Be careful however as I had Orchestra F8,10 in my cart for $150 each and when I got to the confirmation page, it said LIMITED VIEW so I didn't buy them. The nerve.
Does anyone know what the first row at the Jacobs is going to be for this production? I'm finding a seat in the center of Row C of the orchestra for $169. On the seating chart on Telecharge, Row C looks like the fourth row, which would be acceptable, but it isn't a premium seat, so I'm worried that maybe they're going to take out a couple of rows and make Row C closer to the stage than I would like. FWIW, a seat in Row I, six rows back from the Row C seat, is a premium seat that costs $264.
Yes- Broadway prices are rising- and it is becoming increasingly difficult for people who do not have tons of cash to see some of these shows- DEH prices are absolutely outrageous for orchestra seating- Three Tall Women, the same. And more and more seats are premium, I noticed- even rows 12 and beyond- sometimes on the side as well. I have to say that the size of the cast is enormous- and they ave live animals, too- and the scenery and production are pretty elaborate- at least in London it was- so this is a very expensive show to run-and it is really excellent, as well- all I can say is- you will not be sorry if you spring for a good ticket if you can do it- the accents are not particularly heavy- but they are there- and without a good seat- I wonder how much of the language will be lost due to acoustics in seats that are not close. I had no trouble- and I usually do with British accents- but I ws in row3. Good luck- the show is great- with a great ending- and one that should not be missed- along with Iceman Cometh - my two favorite plays of late- both had me mesmerized throughout- and both and me thinking about it for days after.

Mezz. would be fine- but if you have had problems with understanding British/Irish accents- I would say the closer the better. I was expecting to lose some meaning due to the accents- but found that I understood every word- the accents were very understandable- and for me, that is high praise- because I had to use the close cautioning on Downton Abbey.
