Jacek Kaczmarski - this name is known as a symbol of protest. Great Polish songwriter and performer from 1977 till basically his death in 2004 was a figure of resistance through his words and music: Mury (Walls) based on L'Estaca by Lluis Llach was an anthem of freedom (despite the fact that it was deeply misunderstood: last verse says that a system will actually defeat the people) and was on lips of Solidarity's workers during upheaval in the 80s. A political icon has been undusted reviling his greatest pieces into life with new interpretation.

A couple with 41 years behind them is trying to adjust to the new, luxury reality but the problems are multiplying - from trying to enter the room to an unexpected guest who gets out from under the bed. Changing their romantic and push gateway to mix of confusions and funny situations. 

Beautiful island in the middle of the Ocean covers terrifying story. Small territory and only around  50 people leaving on it - they are descendants of rebels from a?oeBountya?? ship that came to the island in 18th century and they made for themselves a place to live with their own rules.

When you were a kid (or it's still ongoing) you were dreaming about Christmas presents weeks before the winter. Can you imagine that you find not only one perfect present under your Christmas tree but suddenly two of them? This will happen if you will go to The Opera Wroclawska to see The Nutcracker / A Christmas Carol.

Have you ever wandered why two cheesecakes based on one recipe are slightly different? Even tough you use the same flour, sugar and cheese the taste is not the same. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse. But if you take great ingredients like Traviata, big budget, good voices, Grazyna Szapolowska as director it cannot be bad, correct? You are right! It cannot be!

Do you still remember how it was to opening an envelope with developed photos from an event that had happened long time before? It's the same when you go to see a play inspired by one of your favorite movies: you never know if it will be that good as you remembered.   You will be pleased or mad. I was mad. Because it was too short - Seb, please: I wanted more!

Opera for kids it's very hard to produce. Kids are very demanding audience - but Wroclaw Opera did it and by silence from kids in the audience through the whole show I would say it's a success!

Comedy about love and other difficult things. Making a good comedy is not an easy thing to do. Making a comedy which is funny and valued is what Teatr Komedia did.

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??It's not very common to see a Czech play around. And as a surprise I have to admin that apparently I'm fan of it!

It isn't easy to write about contemporary art - it's more symbolic, more intense, morea?? unsaid that classic one. The same show can be a Masterpiece for some, for others an utterance of foreign language - they will just open their eyes, hold a breath but don't understand a thing. For me Magolia was strangely both.

Last Premiere of Opera Wroclaw this season is going to take place in couple of days. And it will be huge!

During the press breakfast on June 13, the representatives of the Wroc?aw Opera gave details of the new artistic season 2019/2020. There are 8 premiers in upcoming season. For the first time in more than twenty years of Wroc?aw's Superproductions, an opera will not be heard. Next year, spectators will see a dance and multimedia spectacle: dance setting will be created by polish female choreographers of the young generation.

History of Poland is complex and complicated, exactly as human being. Main characters are not ordinary people but actors in a freak show which makes connotation individual-country even more arduous. 

Moliere said that the duty of comedy is to correct men by amusing them. And this is exactly what happens in Teatr Polski during play I Cannot Get Married. It's a funny time worth to spend in a theatre and maybe get some lesson from it. You will experience some celebrities facing cameras, trying say something valuable (not easy thing to do if there is nothing to say).

This play contains two pieces: Card Game and The Rite of Spring. Both are amazing, both are composed by Igor Stravinsky and both were not understood during its premieres. 

I can say for sure that this play can be for everyone: a contemporary, vibrant version of big classic Faust is exposing new and friendly face for those who want to see an opera show stripped of excessive seriousness. Scenography, choir, characters are tailored to the 21st century 160 years after its premiere in Paris.

"Boieng Boieng" has an answer to a question: Can we have it all? Can we have a lot of women and get along with it if we can pick up just one?

Mickiewcz's masterpiece "Dziady" which play "Phantoms" is based on is one of most important opus in polish culture and awareness. You read this at school for multiple occasions, you watch it in theaters, listen on the radio, one way or another from time to time it crosses your way. As a Pole you know it and like it or be tired of it because of it constant presence. 

This is a well known story: Don Giovanni - addictive seducer - struggles with live in temptations to meet consequences. Classic Opera from 18th century is still watched all over the world. 'Opera buffa' as Mozart described it himself should be comic but in this version the world „comic' doesn't come to mind.
