Just last night, the New York theatre community joined forces with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas survivors and activists from March For Our Lives to present a one-night only concert event: Broadway Fights Back with March For Our Lives. Stars from stage and screen came together with notable activists to perform protest anthems and songs of change from both musical theatre and popular genres.

Central Park was the place to be yesterday, as theatre fans from all over gathered to celebrate the fourth annual Elsie Fest! Elsie Fest is a one-day outdoor music festival that celebrates the stars and songs from the stage and screen, giving festival goers a unique experience to their favorite musicals.

Before last night's special fan performance for lucky lottery winners, New York City Commissioner of Media and Entertainment Julie Menin honored the cast and creative team of Broadway's new musical 'Mean Girls' by re-naming W. 52nd Street between Broadway & 8th Avenue 'W. Fetch Street,' outside the August Wilson Theatre 245 W 52nd St., Manhattan. The cast in full costume, creative team and Commissioner gathered on the sidewalk at 5 minutes to curtain to make the announcement.

The North American tour of the Tony Award - nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof in underway. A beloved theatrical classic from Tony-winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize-winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, Fiddler on the Roof is directed by Tony-Award winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, The King and I) and choreographed by the acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter.

Rehearsals are underway for the upcoming North American Tour of A Bronx Tale, the new musical featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo.

Take the journey! The North American tour of the critically-acclaimed Broadway production of ANASTASIA will launch at Proctors in Schenectady, NY on October 9, 2018 and will go on to play 30 cities in its first season. This production features a book by celebrated playwright Terrence McNally, a lush, new score by Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics) and direction by Tony Award-winning director Darko Tresnjak.

Roundabout Theatre Company's world premiere production of Usual Girls by Ming Peiffer, directed by Tyne Rafaeli, begins preview performances Off-Broadway on Thursday, October 11, 2018 and opens officially on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, December 9, 2018.

The Good Cop is an American television comedy created by Andy Breckman based on the Israeli show of the same name created by Erez and Tomer Aviram and produced by Yoav Gross. It will consist of ten episodes, and will be released on Netflix.
