The all new 21st Season of Broadway Beat is here! This week catch up with Broadway Beat at the press event for THE BOOK OF MORMON, THE CACTUS FLOWER and at BROADWAY BACKWARDS 6!

The strictly limited 15-week engagement will begin previews on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. The show's cast and creative team met the press on Friday, February 18 and Broadway Beat was there, with host Richie Ridge interviewing them all!

BROADWAY BACKWARDS 6, the one-night-only event held Monday at the Longacre Theatre, raised a record-breaking $281,243 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (the Center) and Broadway Beat was, of course there as always to chronicle the night! Here are some of their fabulous highlights.

This week, the controversial company of THE BOOK OF MORMON met the press. Broadway Beat was on hand and got the scoop on all things mormon and its satirical musical.

Lost in the Stars, the second Encores! production of the New York City Center season, running February 3 - 6 at City Center, will feature Chuck Cooper, Daniel Breaker, Patina Miller, Sharon Washington, Daniel Gerroll, John Douglas Thompson and Sherry Boone. Lost in the Stars has music by Kurt Weill and book and lyrics by Maxwell Anderson. It will be directed by Gary Griffin and choreographed by Chase Brock, with music direction by Rob Berman. Broadway Beat got an exclusive sneak peek!

The cast of the upcoming Off-Broadway revival of Abe Burrows' classic comedy Cactus Flower met the press and Broadway Beat was there! Cast members include Jenni Barber (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Emily Walton (August: Osage County), Maxwell Caulfield (Grease 2), Lois Robbins ('Ryan's Hope'), Anthony Reimer ('Rescue Me'), John Herrera (The Times, They are a Changin'), Robin Skye (Parade) and Jeremy Bobb (Is He Dead?).

On Tuesday, February 15, four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein and six-time Emmy Award nominee Jeffrey Tambor will join the company of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES on Broadway as Albin and Georges, along with Wilson Jermaine Heredia who will join the show as Jacob. The three stars met the press along with director Terry Johnson on January 27th and Broadway Beat was there!

John Leguizamo returns to Broadway this year with his new solo play GHETTO KLOWN for a 12-week engagement beginning previews on February 21 and opening on Tuesday March 22 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). Leguizamo met the press and Broadway Beat was there!

Bristol Riverside Theatre rings in the new year with a new adaptation of The Little Prince on January 25-February 13 and Broadway Beat has got a sneak peek at the new show!

The Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of Oscar Wilde's comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by and starring Brian Bedford as 'Lady Bracknell,' opened on January 13 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway.
