THE RED ZORA AND HER GANG Comes To Volkstheater The Volkstheater presents THE RED ZORA AND HER GANG, based on the novel by Kurt Held, from Sept. 22 to Oct. 7.

Branko has no hope of being in prison in the small Croatian town of Senj. His mother died, he knows nothing about his father, and the rich Karaman arrested him as he hungrily picked up a fallen fish from the ground in the market square.

But when the night is the coldest, dawn breaks - the Senjer Dawn is called Zora and is the city-known, disreputable and intrepid leader of a gang. With three other children, all poor and orphaned like Branko, she lives in an old castle. Zora frees Branko and includes him in her gang. With small thefts, the children beat themselves, always on the go, always a little faster, wiser and braver than the police and the honorable citizens of the clean town they pursue. An ally finds the gang in the old fisherman Gorian. He leads a fight against the fishing company, which has it on his bay. Gorian wants to stay a free fisherman. Only a big tuna catch can save him.
