Let's have a look at the 2019/2020 season at the Landestheater Linz. It is all about confessions. Confessions have to be made when you select your shows for the next season. Linz has done it wisely in the past. The Landestheater brought huge success into the steel city. Let's see, if the 2019/2020 is able to cope with the past ones.

The first premiere for the musical ensemble which welcomes six new cast members, will be Alan Menkens SISTER ACT, directed by Andreas Gergen (2018 Winner Best Director/ Broadway World Awards Austria) and Choreography by Kim Duddy. On Sept. 7th, Linz is getting his very own interpretation of this divine musical comedy.

The next premiere will be MARY AND MAX OR HOW DOES THE WORLD FUNCTION? Bobby Cronin and Crystal Skillmans musical is having his European opening night in Linz on November, 8th.

The next in line will be Stephen Sondheims A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM. Adding a Sondheim musical to your repertoire is always a good choice. Let's see, what Matthias Davids (director) is able to do with this masterpiece.

FANNY AND ALEXANDER will be the next musical, especially written for Linz. GISLE KVERNDOKK (music) and ØYSTEIN WIIK (book and lyrics) together with Matthias Davids (director) are going to transform Ingmar Bergmans famous movie into a fantastic musical.

There might me no better way to celebrate a great ensemble than with huge concert. WE ARE MUSICAL- The huge concert in april with the Bruckner orchestra and the members of the musical ensemble is really something not to be missed. A wonderful opportunity to show their talents.

After the farewells of Ariana Shirasi-Fad, Anais Luken, Myrthes Monteiro, Christof Messner, Carsten Lepper, Riccardo Greco and Dance Captain Wei Ken Liao, Linz welcomes it's new ensemble members, Celine dos Santos, Sanne Mieloo, Daniela Dett, Lukas Sadmann, Karsten Kenzel and David Arnsperger.

Something old, something new, something unusual, a lot of things to see in Linz.
