Serenbe Playhouse Partners With Binder Casting For Season 10

Binder Casting, a subsidiary of the full service and award-winning live entertainment Production Company RWS Entertainment Group (RWS), today announced a new partnership with Serenbe Playhouse, a nationally recognized Atlanta, Georgia based professional theatre company committed to producing bold new works and reinvented classics that connect art, nature and community. The two innovative companies are joining forces for the casting of Serenbe Playhouse's 10th anniversary season, which will be announced in its entirety on November 15th.

Acquired by RWS Entertainment Group in 2016, Binder Casting has cast over 70 Broadway shows including the Tony Award-winning productions of The Lion King, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, Dames At Sea, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Gypsy, The King and I, Lost in Yonkers and Jerome Robbins' Broadway.

Over the course of this season, Binder Casting will provide talent for three large-scale musicals at Serenbe Playhouse. Auditions for each production will be held in New York City and Atlanta. Audition details will accompany the November 15th announcement of the new season.

"Serenbe Playhouse is synonymous with creativity and bold immersive theatre," stated Bruston Manuel, chief operating officer of Binder Casting. "This partnership aligns with our company's mission of providing top-notch talent to the best in the business, and we couldn't be more excited to cast for the theatre's 10th anniversary season."

On the heels of Serenbe Playhouse's most recent and nationally recognized success through the theatre's presentation of the Tony Award-winning Titanic: The Musical, the partnership announcement with Binder Casting comes at an incredible time for the theatre group. Founded in 2009, the playhouse is known for creating artistically rich site-specific performances that reduce the barriers between artists and audiences in an outdoor environment that amplifies the beauty of nature and provides opportunities for engagement, conversation, and collaboration.

Serenbe Playhouse continually increases the stakes of productions with each new spectacle, including a singing cowboy on actual horseback in Oklahoma!, a functioning, full-scale Ferris wheel as the centerpiece of Carousel and a real helicopter landing and taking off during the climactic moments of Miss Saigon. Most recently in Titanic: The Musical, the set built upon a real lake featured groups of surviving passengers rowing aboard real lifeboats, others jumping from the decks above into the water, and a simulation of the sinking ship as platforms gradually lower characters into and under the lake.

"For our 10th Anniversary, we will be returning to our roots with stories that will shake to the core and speak to our past, present and future," said Executive Artistic Director of the Serenbe Playhouse, Brian Clowdus. "This will be our most ambitious season to date with three full scale, larger than life Broadway musicals in our six show season. With the support of Binder, we know that our talent will also be our boldest and best yet!"
