HOME BY DARK Sets Stage At City Springs

Since 2007, HOME BY DARK has captivated audiences with one of the most memorable and powerful concert events in America. Inviting the best songwriters and musicians in the world to its stage, HOME BY DARK is a Nashville meets New York meets LA meets Atlanta, storytelling, romantic, pierce your heart, laugh 'til it hurts, reminds me of momma, dance in the aisle, that's my favorite song, evening you'll never forget. This popular songwriter concert series settles in on stage at the City Green as the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center presents HOME BY DARK with special guests Marcia Ramirez, Michael Logen, and Michael Peterson on Sunday, September 23, 2018. While this show is free and open to the public, a limited number of VIP table seats will go on sale Friday, August 24, 2018, at noon.

With special guests ranging from music legends Patty Loveless and Christopher Cross to equally talented yet unknown performing songwriters touring the world, every show proves "A Song Can Change Your Life." Home By Dark began at Alpharetta's Chukkar Farm, quickly turning into an annual sold-out series. The event creates an experience which breaks down the barrier between performers and audience, elevating songwriters and instrumentalists who communicate their music and personal stories in an honest, genuine way.

MARCIA RAMIREZ - Many people have seen Marcia Ramirez performing on stage with artists such as Rodney Crowell, Patty Loveless, Christopher Cross, Pam Tillis and Tanya Tucker. Now people are discovering Marcia's own music as she's becoming an in-demand performer at many venues across the country, such as the world famous "Bluebird Cafe" in Nashville, TN. Marcia is a multi-instrumentalist, as well as one of Nashville's busiest session singers. Marcia has five solo albums: "Compromise," "The Barefoot Sessions," "Life Goes On," "Beautifully Lived," and her newest project, released in June 2017, "Abba's Child." Her song, "God and My Girlfriends" is currently on Reba McEntire's new CD, "Back to God," and her song, "You Belong In The Sun" is on Jo Dee Messina's Greatest Hits, garnering Marcia her first Gold Record.

Logen's folk song, "Couldn't Ask ForA Better Friend," played prominently throughout the 2016 Rio Olympics, when it was chosen by Folgers as the theme for their award-winning ad. A prolific songwriter, Michael's songs have been recorded by Jonny Lang, Kelly Clarkson, Mat Kearney, Brandon Heath, The Greencards, Paul Carrack, Will Hoge, Sister Hazel, and more.
