Elm Street Holds Event for 2019-2020 Season Reveal

On March 30th, Elm Street Cultural Arts Village will announce plans for 2019-2020 at their annual Season Reveal Party: A Season to Prevail. This free event will provide an exciting look ahead at the Main Stage Theatre Season, the Collage Educational Series, the Lantern Series, and
new initiatives for Elm Street and the community. In addition, they will provide updates on the development of the 4-Acre property and all things to come in 2019 and 2020.

"To prevail is also to exist," says Elm Street's Associate Artistic Director, Siobhan Brumbelow . about the Main Stage Theatre Season. "All of our shows in our upcoming season link - they give us a sense of triumph and belonging that the characters fight for in their individual stories. It's important to remind ourselves that everyone has a story, even the 'underdogs.' " With a mix of plays and musicals that includes classic and contemporary works for both adults and the entire family, there is plenty of variety all season long.

The idea of prevailing goes beyond just the programming for the theatre. The Lantern Series, Elm Street's outdoor concert series that showcases a variety of musical artists from across the globe, will be expanding into its second year with more opportunities for the artists to engage directly with the community. Christopher Brazelton, Elm Street's Executive Director, feels that this is vital to not only Elm Street, but the entire community. "This season really resonates with us as an organization - despite obstacles, we're getting closer and are looking forward to launching a new set of programming with the Reeves House and the Kish Center. We want to help the artists in our community so that we can set them up to prevail, which will grow our local
culture."

The event is one night only on March 30th and is open to the entire community of all ages.

The complete schedule is as follows:

Hors d'oeuvres- 6:30pm
