Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents this stunning classic April 12-28, 2019. The "Greatest Movie Musical of All Time" is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay in SINGIN' in the RAIN. Each unforgettable scene, song and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm and three Broadway alums! SINGIN' in the RAIN performs at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre (548 South Marietta Pkwy., Marietta).

Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make SINGIN' in the RAIN is the perfect entertainment for fans of all ages. In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen...Meanwhile, Lina's awful voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and for her.

In the role of DON LOCKWOOD is Broadway's Jeremy Benton. BENTON recently spent the winter touring the U.S. playing Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) in the National Tour of Irving Berlin'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, which played a week at Atlanta's Fox Theatre! Before that he played Bob Hope in the L.A. premier of CAGNEY THE MUSICAL, for which he received an Astaire Award nomination for his Off-Broadway performance of the same role. He has played Ray Bolger in the New York workshop of the new play MERMAN, and song and dance brother to Joan Crawford, Uncle Hal, in the new musical MOMMIE DEAREST. The Lyric is thrilled to welcome this phenomenal talent to our stage.

The winning KATHY SELDEN is played by Leigh Ellen Jones who returns to the Lyric after appearing in HAIRSPRAY. This charming and delightfully talented triple threat has most recently appeared in SOUTH PACIFIC and 42nd STREET at City Springs Theatre. Made famous by Debbie Reynolds, the role of Kathy Selden is beloved the world over and the Lyric looks forward to seeing JONES shine like the star she is.

Beth Beyer makes her Lyric debut as LINA LAMONT after touring the country with CAMELOT featuring Robert Goulet and THE SOUND OF MUSIC with Marie Osmond. With a thrilling resume of phenomenal roles as well as a Barrymore Nomination, The Lyric is overjoyed to see the hilarity and panache BEYER brings to this iconic role.

Lyric favorite, J Koby Parker joins the cast as COSMO BROWN. A magnificent tapper and comedic showstopper, PARKER brought audiences to hysterics with his most recent turn as GEORGE in THE WEDDING SINGER.

The cast also features Bob Amaral (Broadway's Guys and Dolls) Christy Baggett (The Light in the Piazza, Ragtime, Hairspray) ALYSSA MICHELE (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Wedding Singer, Dreamgirls) Kayce Grogan Wallace (Dreamgirls, Your Happy Holiday, Hairspray) MATTHEW MORRIS (The Full Monty, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserables) KARA NOEL HARRINGTON (The Sound of Music, Anything Goes, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and a stunning ensemble of thrilling tap dancers, showgirls and comedians.

Artistic Director Mary Nye Bennett takes the helm as DIRECTOR, continuing her initiative to have all female directors in 2019. She is joined by Music Director Paul Tate and choreographer Jennifer Smiles. AMANDA EDGERTON WEST creates the classic costume aesthetic and award winning scenic designer and lighting designer LEE SHIVER-CERONE and BEN RAWSON, respectively, complete the team.
