Atlanta's Tony Award-winning ALLIANCE THEATRE will preview scenes from its upcoming family production WINNIE-THE-POOH in the Historic Fourth Ward Park Amphitheatre on May 26 at 10:30 a.m. The performance is free and open to the public.

In addition to scenes and music from the Alliance's upcoming production WINNIE-THE-POOH, beloved characters from other productions in the ALLIANCE THEATRE's Youth and Families Series will take the stage to perform iconic scenes and songs, including selections from THE WIZARD OF OZ. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

As a part of the Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. initiative to provide free, accessible art to all Atlantans, the ALLIANCE THEATRE and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra are teaming up with the Atlanta BeltLine for performances and programming along the corridor. The May 10 ASO performance was canceled due to weather and will be rescheduled soon.

"There are few things as beloved as the BeltLine on a beautiful Saturday morning," said Christopher Moses, the ALLIANCE THEATRE Dan Reardon Director of Education and Associate Artistic Director. "One of those, however, is undoubtedly Winnie-the-Pooh. What a treat to kick off this partnership with the BeltLine by sharing scenes from our upcoming family productions. Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, (and some special guests) are sure to surprise & delight all of the families, cyclists, joggers, and walkers who gather together at the historic Fourth Ward Park Ampitheatre. It's the next best thing to being in the Hundred Acre Wood!"

"We are delighted to collaborate with the ALLIANCE THEATRE, whose values perfectly align with our own," said Brian McGowan, President and CEO of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. "Partnering with an engaged and inclusive arts and culture organization furthers the Atlanta BeltLine spirit of community, equity, and diversity in our public spaces. We are excited to find more opportunities to collaborate with the Woodruff Arts Center family in the future."
