THE STORY OF MY LIFE Comes to The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol In September, The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will open the first production of its third season with the musical The Story of My Life, with Music & Lyrics by Neil Bartram and Book by Brian Hill.

Thomas, a successful author is tasked to write the eulogy of his lifelong friend Alvin. Delving deep into the recesses of his mind, Thomas finds himself staring at a notebook of empty pages. Sifting through thousands of memories with his inspiring and eccentric friend, Thomas celebrates a lifetime of love, devotion, and friendship. Guided by Alvin we see their complicated relationship and the influence it had on making Thomas' dreams a reality. This intimate two-person musical celebrates the balance necessary for a lasting friendship and the consequences when life gets in the way.

Portraying the character Thomas Weaver, is Alan Gillespie. Originally hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Gillespie has been acting in New York City for the last twenty years. He was seen earlier this year as Sam in Mamma Mia on The Sierra Repertory and Maples Repertory Theatre stages. His most coveted role was Chris in Miss Saigon, in which he played over 950 performances. His talents also include being a Musician; he's well-versed in playing the trumpet and percussion. Alan is looking forward his first time on The Studio Theatre's stage and also embarking on an intimate two person show that deals with true lifelong friendship that audiences can relate to. Alan is a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association.

Playing Alvin Kelby is actor Alex Jorth. Born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and currently residing in Boynton Beach, Florida. Jorth may be recognized at our venue, as he is currently gracing The Studio Theatre's stage this summer, performing in Life Could Be a Dream as Skip, produced by Victory Productions. After The Story of My Life, Jorth will be in Naples for TheatreZone's special holiday production, Home for the Holidays before kicking off the New Year in the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's production of Mamma Mia in Jupiter. Alex is a Millikin University graduate (BFA Music Theatre), and also a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association.
