RENT Sees Lowest Ratings For Any Live Musical on FOX in Early Ratings

Sunday's performance of RENT on FOX, the live musical that ended up being not-so-live, has drawn ratings at the lowest ratings of TV musicals that have aired in recent years, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show consisted of pre-taped footage from the dress rehearsal due to Brennin Hunt breaking his foot. The broadcast posted a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and about 3.42 million viewers over its three-hour running time. These numbers are the smallest for any of the four musicals FOX has aired since 2016.

The ratings are early numbers and are subject to change as more data is released. Check back for additional ratings updates!

The numbers are also lower than any live musical since "The Sound of Music Live" began the live musical sensation in 2013. Before RENT, the previous low was 1.5 in the demo and 4.48 million viewers for FOX's 2017 "A Christmas Story Live."

More to come...
